::::IN THE STUDIO::::
At home, where wires can be strewn about any
which way, my setup is basically one that allows me quick access
to my laptop and the 5-octave keyboard controller, my the Roland
D-20. Everything else is scattered about. I hook everything up to
my lazy Samick 12-channel LM-122 mixer (which sometimes needs to
be slapped to get it to work). Monitoring is done on an old Sony
CFS-KDW40S boombox whose cassette player wont work, but which at
least sports mega bass, and stereo LINE INs. Recently added a wonderful
pair of AKG K-66 headphones which have opened new vistas of sound
to my ears.
::::LIVE GIG SETUP::::
At live gigs, where speed of setup is often
essential, I have often had to make do with my laptop, period. In
those instances I would use BOME's mousekeyboard as a virtual keyboard
via my QWERTY keys. More recently though I've been able to buy an
Oxygen8 USB controller, and bring back into service my lovely Boss
Sp-202 sampler for hands-on pseudo-scratching and weird samples.
